PPGNBC Multi-user Laboratory

The Multi-User Laboratory of the PPGNBC/UFPA (LMPNBC) is a shared space designed to support research, teaching, and outreach activities through the planned use of its infrastructure and equipment. The LMPNBC is open to all students and faculty of the Federal University of Pará, whether or not they are part of the PPGNBC program. It is coordinated by Professor Dr. Karen Renata Oliveira of the PPGNBC. The LMPNBC houses equipment such as an ultrapure water filter, fume hood, binocular stereomicroscope, fluorescence microscope, gel photodocumentation system, picodrop, cryostat, -80°C vertical ultrafreezer, refrigerated centrifuge, microplate reader and automatic washer, real-time PCR, and an animal behavior analysis room. To organize access to the LMPNBC, the program created a web application that allows reservations on available days and times for each piece of equipment. The user manual for the web application can be downloaded here . This solidarity initiative from PPGNBC opens up the possibility for researchers throughout the University to have access to state-of-the-art equipment for conducting their research.
